Cryotherapy, or “cold therapy,” is a non-invasive medical technique that uses an ultra-cold agent, typically liquid nitrogen or nitrous oxide, to freeze and destroy abnormal or unwanted tissue. At Skintology, we use this “deep freeze” method to precisely target skin lesions. Once the frozen cells thaw, they naturally die off and are replaced by fresh, healthy skin cells during the body’s healing phase.
